Collective Haul

Hello Lovelies,

I hope everyone's had a good start to the week!  I know I did with the Yankees winning the ALCS and all =) I've been busy with school work, but I managed to find some time to stop at a few stores and pick up some fun stuff.  Here are a few pics from the collective haul and a little bit of info about the products:

Everything:

Close up of Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque and L'oreal Voluminous Mascara from Walgreens:

I'm sooooo excited that I was finally able to get my hands on the Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque!  I checked out 4 of my local Walgreens (which I THINK is the only drugstore that sells it) and they all were sold out for about 3 weeks. I hope this is a testament to how good the product is!  I can't wait to use it, so expect a review soon!  The price was $4.19 plus tax, which isn't much for an 8 oz. face mask.  Walgreens sells the tube form of the masque, but I recently went to Sally Beauty Supply and I saw that they sold a 12 oz. tub/jar (if I remember right, it was between $5 to $6)...so for those of you who may not have a Walgreens near by and are interested in the product, definitely check out your local SBS.

I also bought the L'oreal Voluminous (Original) Mascara from Walgreens since it was on sale for $5.  I used to be one of those girls who NEVER used mascara.  Now I use it 5 or 6 days out of the week.  I'm on the search for my "The One" mascara, so I picked up this one to test it out.  I definitely want to try some more, so let me know what your favorite mascaras are!

Close up of L'oreal HIP blush and Wet n Wild White Eyeliner from Rite Aid:

I picked up the L'oreal HIP Blendable Blushing Creme in Blushing (888) from Rite Aid along with the Wet n Wild Kohl Eyeliner in White/Blanc.  The blush was on sale for $2.50!  I wasn't able to find any others there =( but I have read on some other blogs that some Dollar Trees sell them for just a buck!  So I will definitely be checking out my local Dollar Tree for them soon.  The eyeliner was just 99 cents, so I bought it to try out on my waterline.

Studio Tools Smudge Brush from Target:

I love the Studio Tools brush line at Target!  I already had a couple ST brushes, but everytime I went to Target to pick up the smudge brush, it was always sold out.  I'm guessing this is because you can get this brush for less than $3! I'm definitely excited to use it to do a smoky eye!!

A couple of Essence of Beauty brushes from CVS:

I picked up these Beauty of Essence brushes at CVS during their BOGO sale.  I got both (technically 3! hehe) brushes for about $10.  As you can tell from the picture, I've already used the contouring (Blusher) brush.  I cleaned the brush after I used it, but it was too late, the hairs were stained =/.  The brush itself is awesome though, so if you're not one who cares much about what the brush looks like after you use it, definitely try it!  The wide brush in the dual ended eye shadow brush is going to be awesome for highlighting the brows and cheeks.  The other end should come in handy when applying shadows in the crease.

3 China Glaze polishes from Sally Beauty Supply:

L-R:  Metallic Muse, Twenty-Four K, Atlantis

The last place I went to was Sally Beauty Supply, solely for the purpose of buying some China Glaze polishes.  I was never really into painting my nails, so I only had a select few (and might I say cheap) polishes that I used.  Recently, I've been on a nail polish kick so I decided to get my first China Glaze polishes.  My local Sally Beauty Supply was having a buy 2 get 1 free deal and also had a $3 coupon in their flyer, so I got all 3 for about $9 and some change.  I can't wait to try these gorgeous colors out!

I bought the Chi Silk Infusion for $16 at Marshalls.  It's usually sold between $25 and $30 in salons, so it was a great deal!  I've read amazing reviews by some gurus here on blogger, so I was excited to try it out.  Check out your local Marshalls/TJMaxx if you're looking to save some money on the product!

This was a crazy long post, but I hope it was useful!  I will be doing swatches of the polishes as soon as I get a break from all this crazy school work.

Sinful Colors Nail Polish: Shausha Swatch/Review

Hello lovelies!!

So yesterday I decided to paint my nails since they were quite hideous and chipped (eeeeek).  I used a Sinful Colors shade called Shausha, which is a goldy pink shade.  The color looks gold in certain lighting and more pink/purple in others.  It's a gorgeous color, but I found the formula to be slightly thick.  I bought the polish from Walgreens for $2, which is pretty darn good for a polish.  Walgreens sometimes even has a BOGO deal, so if you're on a really tight budget, wait for the deal to come around to buy 2 Sinful Colors polishes for the price of one!  Here are some pictures of the polish that I took in different lighting:

In bathroom w/flash:

In bedroom with flash:

In the bedroom with no flash:

My flash was being funky and some of the pictures make it seem as if there is glitter in the polish, but there is NO GLITTER in it...it's just a really shimmery shade.

Let me know what some of your favorite Sinful Colors shades are or if there are any China Glaze or OPI shades that are similar to this one!!
